Learning that connects
On 4 June 2025, more than 150 higher education professionals participated in the PROFFORMANCE online final conference.
The "Teacher Power! – Higher Education Policy in Action with PROFFORMANCE” served as the closing event of the PROFFORMANCE+ project. In addition to showcasing project results, the event aimed to highlight and recognise the outstanding achievements and innovative practices of teachers in higher education.
Thanks to the involvement of the project consortium and expert team, participants had the chance to explore the PROFFORMANCE tools and gain insights into national policies and strategies related to the project’s key thematic areas.
During the day, the audience was introduced to the winning projects of the 2024/25 PROFFORMANCE International Higher Education Teacher Award. These initiatives demonstrated significant impact in the areas of digitalisation, inclusion, sustainability and internationalisation. Following the practical presentations, participants were also invited to join the discussion and share their thoughts – for instance, on how to support students in the safe, effective and ethical use of AI, how institutions manage international collaboration, or what methods and tools are used to address students’ diverse needs.
In the afternoon, experts introduced the PROFFORMANCE Toolkit, a practical resource designed to support the development of teaching competences and methodologies. Additionally, the international Institutional PROFFORMANCE Ambassador Network was launched, providing a platform for professional exchange in teaching and learning development and for promoting the use of assessment and feedback tools for educators.
The enthusiasm of the participants, their collaborative thinking, and their passion for learning were evident throughout. Based on the feedback, the event was not only informative but also an inspiring and community-building experience.
The “Teacher Power!” conference marked a major milestone in the PROFFORMANCE+ project. In addition to the PROFFORMANCE Assessment Tool, the project offers an international Teaching Excellence Database with nearly 300 practices, and newly developed PROFFORMANCE Short Courses – consisting of 8 courses and 16 modules – aimed at supporting quality and effectiveness in teaching, while fostering engaging, student-centred learning.
