Join the Profformance Online Peer Learning Activity 

Take the first step toward a more engaging, inclusive, and practical course. 

The Profformance team of Tempus Public Foundation invites higher education teachers to an international online peer learning activity (1 April – 15 June 2026), focused on redesigning courses to strengthen student-centred learning.  

The programme is free of charge, open to all higher education teachers, and supported by Profformance experts. 

Participants will work on upgrading their own courses while exchanging ideas and practical strategies with international peers.

Participants focus on course design that puts students at the centre, working directly on their own courses to explore how to: 

  • create student-centred courses that support meaningful learning 

  • use digital tools and learning environments to engage students 

  • promote inclusion and fairness for diverse learners 

  • follow international standards and proven teaching practices 

  • incorporate sustainability principles into teaching 

Through four selected modules and collaboration on a Moodle platform, participants gain practical strategies, examples of good practice, and tools that can be applied directly to enhance their own courses and support student learning.

  • Optional online consultation sessions with experts for additional guidance 

  • Pop-up events featuring good practice presenters: learn from inspiring examples 

  • International peer exchange: share experiences, strategies, and insights with colleagues worldwide 

3. Recognition & Community 

  • Certificate of Participation for completing the minimum requirements 

  • Invitation to the onsite international peer learning event (October 2026) for the most active knowledge-sharing participants 

 

About the Modules 

The PROFFORMANCE Short Courses, developed by 20 international higher education experts, are already available online in self-paced format; to learn more about the approach, visit the course page and watch the short introductory video. 

 

First Step: Course Upgrade Launch Webinar – Standalone Event

The launch webinar is a perfect entry point, whether or not you join the full programme. Participants will: 

  • discover how the April–June peer learning programme works

  • explore four inspiring examples from the Teaching Excellence Database 

  • test the new competence questions of the PROFFORMANCE Assessment Tool 

  • receive practical guidance from Profformance experts
