Advancing Academic Excellence through PROFFORMANCE
In July 2025, Georgian University of Sport undertook the implementation of the PROFFORMANCE Assessment Tool as part of its broader commitment to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in higher education. As the only university in Georgia exclusively dedicated to the field of sport, we consider continuous professional development of our academic personnel to be a cornerstone of institutional progress and educational excellence.
The introduction of the tool offered a timely and valuable opportunity for our academic staff to engage in structured self-reflection, peer collaboration, and student feedback. It served not only as a diagnostic instrument but also as a catalyst for dialogue around effective pedagogical practices. Participants found the tool highly informative and appreciated its multidimensional approach, which encouraged them to examine their teaching from new perspectives.
We regard the PROFFORMANCE tool as an important element in our ongoingstrategy. It supports the development of a reflective academic culture and aligns well with our university’s vision of fostering innovation, inclusivity, and student-centred teaching. Although this was our first experience using the tool, the process revealed strong institutional interest and readiness to adopt it more broadly in the future.
Georgian University of Sport remains fully committed to further integrating the PROFFORMANCE framework within its internal quality assurance and academic development mechanisms. We believe it has the potential to contribute significantly to the professional growth of educators and the overall enhancement of the teaching and learning environment.
We thank the PROFFORMANCE team for providing such a thoughtfully developed resource and look forward to continued collaboration in the future.
