Short description

At the Education – Informatics – Pedagogy Conference, held online on February 10, 2023, a dedicated PROFFORMANCE workshop was conducted under the title "Comprehensive Teacher Performance Evaluation System – PROFFORMANCE Workshop". The session was led by Vilmos Vass (Budapest Metropolitan University), Szilvia Besze, Csilla Szabó,  (Tempus Public Foundation), focusing on the strategic importance of teacher performance evaluation in higher education, both in Hungary and internationally.
During the workshop, participants explored the three-dimensional, multi-perspective assessment tool developed within the PROFFORMANCE project, which provides data-driven insights to improve teaching and learning quality and supports multi-level decision-making processes. The tool was highlighted as an innovative solution that can complement existing institutional quality assurance systems and enhance European cooperation frameworks, such as European University Alliances.
The key advantages of the PROFFORMANCE tool were presented, including:
- Comprehensive coverage of a wide range of teaching tasks and competencies.
- Incorporation of specialized areas, such as digitalization, inclusion, internationalization, and sustainability.
- A multi-perspective approach, evaluating teachers' performance through self-assessment, peer review, and student feedback.
During the session, higher education teachers, leaders, and professionals had the opportunity to explore the tool’s functionalities, and discuss key challenges and perspectives related to teacher performance evaluation.
