From Launch to Action: Building a European Community for Teaching Excellence
The PROFFORMANCE Community Event Series has successfully launched with an engaging webinar held on 26 March online, titled Course Upgrade - Launch Webinar bringing together more than 120 international participants. The initiative is designed as a platform for dialogue, professional networking, collaboration, and the sharing of good practices among higher education teachers across Europe. The webinar marked a dynamic and collaborative beginning, featuring not only the joint testing of the PROFFORMANCE Assessment Tool (PAT), but also a comprehensive overview of available support materials.
Participants explored course upgrade pathways through presentations led by the leaders of the development working groups, gaining insights into innovative, student-centred approaches. In addition, inspiring good practice examples were showcased from the PROFFORMANCE Teaching Excellence Database, structured around four thematic areas, offering practical ideas for enhancing teaching quality.
The full recording of the webinar, along with the presentations and selected edited video clips are available here.
The programme now continues with the Online Peer Learning Activity: “Upgrade your course – make it truly student-centred”, running from 1 April- 15 June 2026, where participants are supported by experts, peers, and PROFFORMANCE learning materials to redesign and enhance their courses. The first consultation session will take place on 17 April at 13:30 (CET).
This initiative supports higher education teachers in transforming their courses into genuinely student-centred learning experiences, while also providing a space to exchange good practices, build partnerships, and collaborate professionally, working together with peers on shared problem-solving.
Interest in the programme is already strong: more than 100 participants from 11 countries have already started the orientation phase.
Join now and become part of a growing international community committed to teaching excellence.
