At the 32nd annual EURASHE conference in Bucharest (24–26 May 2023), held under the theme “Skills for Europe – Mobilising Higher Education for the green and digital transitions,” the PROFFORMANCE project was honored with the EURASHE 2023 PHE Star Award for Digitalization. Presented by project expert Jan Beseda (Centre for Higher Education Studies, Czech Republic), PROFFORMANCE received recognition for its innovative Assessment Tool, which evaluates higher education teachers’ roles, responsibilities, and competences in line with European Higher Education Area (EHEA) priorities such as digitalization, inclusion, internationalization, and sustainability. Developed by a consortium of six countries—and now further refined in the PROFFORMANCE Plus project—this three-dimensional tool was praised as a valuable “navigator” of the teaching competences needed to prepare students for future jobs. The conference brought together higher education leaders, experts, and stakeholders from across Europe to share insights and strategies for professional higher education, with a strong focus on facilitating green and digital transitions.
