Short description |
At the ENQA Members’ Forum, held on April 19-21, 2023, in Tbilisi, Georgia, Lali Giorgidze from the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) presented a poster on the PROFFORMANCE+ project’s contribution to enhancing Teaching and Learning (T&L) in higher education. The poster presentation, titled "From Rome Ministerial Communiqué to Real Action – Contribution of the NCEQE in PROFFORMANCE+ for Supporting Enhancement of T&L in Higher Education with a Focus on Sustainability", explored how the project translates Rome Ministerial Communiqué commitments into concrete actions.
NCEQE’s engagement in PROFFORMANCE and PROFFORMANCE+, both EU-funded initiatives, represents a significant step in Georgia’s higher education development. These projects mark the country’s first steps in enhancing T&L through cross-border national collaboration and introduce sustainability as a key topic in higher education discourse for the first time in Georgia. A core component of PROFFORMANCE+ is the development of a comprehensive toolkit that supports educators in improving T&L with a focus on four priority areas: digitalization, internationalization, inclusion/diversity, and sustainability.
During the session, the PROFFORMANCE assessment tool was showcased as a practical resource that enables educators to integrate these priorities into their teaching practices. Additionally, the forum provided an opportunity to engage with ENQA members, discussing possible pathways for embedding sustainability in higher education and gathering insights on how quality assurance frameworks can support these developments.
