REPORT ON PROFFOMANCE+ WEBINAR ON INTERNATIONALISATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION
Over 120 higher education teachers from the EHEA countries participated in the sixth PROFFORMANCE+ thematic webinar on Internationalisation in Higher Education: Empowering Innovative teaching and learning practices across borders held on the 16 May 2024. Three good practices on the topic of internationalisation in higher education have been presented. The practices ranged from service-learning in EFL teacher education, designing business start-up companies through an online international multidisciplinary collaboration project, to developing remote work competencies through global virtual teamwork.
Speakers have been selected from the PROFFORMANCE teaching excellence database which contains another 120 international good practices. After the overview presentation pitches, participants could deep dive into specific internationalisation aspects of the selected projects, and get the recipe from the speakers, on the implementation, transferability, and adaptation of the internationalisation practices in different fields of study. The breakout room sessions later served as opportunities for networking and future international collaboration.
We also presented important aspects of internationalisation within the PROFFORMANCE Assessment tool and project, as well as the autumn call for the second PROFFORMANCE Teaching Excellence Award. Another example of good practice in internationalisation, English as a Medium of Instruction project for HEI teachers, was presented by our partner, the Foundation Tempus from Serbia.
Webinar recording and all of the presentations and materials are available on the dedicated page of the Profformance+ website.
